Summer Speaking Engagements

Can’t get enough Coach Thomas comedy?

Want to see which fancy pants coaches I’ve been stealing from lately and how I’ve adapted it to my HS athletes?

Well why wait another 45 minutes before receiving yet another email from me when you can come see me live and in person!

On June 22, I’ll be speaking at the IYCA East Coast Summit in Canton, Connecticut.

I’ll be doing a lecture and a hands on/learn by doing. After the last IYCA event, I apologize in advance if it ends up being more like a stand up comedy routine and less like a college course lecture with lots of big words. For what it’s worth, almost everyone prefers the jokes to me just puking out science words.

But, I can do that if you want.

If you can make it, there are some great speakers and you’ll learn a lot. However, the ‘Early Bird’ discount ends on Sunday so register before then and you can attend the entire event for less than a hundred bucks.

Good deal. => 2012 IYCA East Coast Summit

From July 19-22 I’ll be teaching and coaching at the 2012 Complete Track & Field Clinic at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

If you’re a track and field athlete, coach or parent you would be, quite frankly, crazy not to go to that clinic. Our staff is ridiculous. People loved last year’s event. We have people flying in from Europe, as well as from all over North America.

I know I’m teaching a bunch of new stuff that I didn’t talk about last year like how to progress and regress the wicket drill. We’ll also have 2012 NEWMAC Coach of the Year Dave Cusano there to teach how to use the Cusano Drill.

The ‘Early Bird’ discount for the summer track and field clinic ends on May 31 though, at this pace, Session I of the Sprints and the Hurdles might sell out before then. So I’d get on that!

I’ll also be speaking at the MF Athletic All Star Track & Field Clinic in Atlantic City, New Jersey in December. But that’s so far away it’s not worth talking about right now. Just wanted to put it in the back of your mind.

Hope to see you this summer!
